- Description
- The work includes renovation of Bldg. H-21 at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, New Hampshire to provide berthing for 41 students as well as auxiliary spaces including a lounge, laundry and housekeeping. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST REGISTER IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF A CONTRACT. QUOTERS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE MAY RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Registration can be accomplished on www.ccr.gov. As per FAR 52.219-18 - NOTIFICATION OF COMPETITION LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(A) CONCERNS, offers or quotations under this acquisition are solicited from qualified 8(a) business concerns only. Offers that are not from an 8(a) qualified small business shall not be considered and shall be rejected. Replies to this notice are requested from NAICS 236116, Multi-Family Housing Construction Contractors. All bids received from all responsible sources shall be considered. The official access to the solicitation will be available on the internet at www.neco.navy.mil on or about 16 JUL 09. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet and the official plan holder's list will be maintained on, and can be printed from the Internet site. All prospective bidders must register as plan holders on the Internet NECO website for this project. Each company must indicate its name, address, phone number, and e-mail address; identify whether the firm is a prime, sub or supplier and indicate whether firm is an Emerging Small Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Business or Large Business. It is therefore, the contractor's responsibility to check the above listed address daily for any posted changes to the solicitation's plans and specifications. This solicitation will be in electronic format only and all documents will be provided in Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) files.
