- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI-MDG09-0001). In accordance with FAR 15.201, Dyess AFB, TX, is requesting information regarding price, delivery and capabilities for planning purposes only for medical records storage at the Dyess military treatment facility, Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX. Funds are not currently available for this project. This request for information is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: Provide space saving manual mobile storage system (alternate or equivalent solution) for medical records storage/shelving units and installation of new system. Units should have pull out work area to hold paperwork and/or records while filing. Minimal to no maintenance required after installation. New units will store medical records which are 12 in X 9.5 in size. Removal and disposal of current 13 MegaStar storage units is required. Description of records, room square footage and approximate linear feet of records are as follows: 1. Outpatient, Room Sq Ft 719.82, Linear Ft of Records 1,000 2. Closed Volume Storage, Room Sq Ft 191.89, Linear Ft of Records 250 3. Flight Medicine, Room Sq Ft 198.5, Linear Ft of Records 100 SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held on Wednesday, 8 JULY 2009, at 9:00 a.m. for all interested vendors. The meeting location will be at the main front gate of Dyess AFB, TX, at the intersection of Arnold Blvd and Dub Wright Blvd, Abilene, TX, at the Dyess Visitor's Center at 8:45 a.m. The site visit is not mandatory. If attending the site visit please notify in advance of planned attendance not later than 9:00 on Tuesday, 7 July 2009 by email to the following 7 Contracting personnel: kay.david@dyess.af.mil and frank.gilbert@dyess.af.mil.
