- This is a sole source announcement. No Request for Proposal will be prepared and no hard copy will be made available. FISC San Diego intends to award a firm fixed-price contract to Administrative Services SD LLC DBA Yellow Cab for 60 day period of performance. As a point of criticality, Administrative Services SD LLC DBA Yellow Cab, in support of the safety of active duty service members. The requirement is to ensure continuance of the Arrive Alive Program, implemented by Commander Navy Region Southwest in August 2008. The Arrive Alive Program is designed to reduce drunk or impaired driving and the alcohol related accidents that occur whenever Sailors or Marines drive under the influence. Every service member or other person killed or severely injured as a result of an alcoholic related accident tragically and directly affects the member, the member's family, the public, and the U.S. Navy. Navy policy is to prevent and eliminate impaired or intoxicated driving. Historically during holiday weekends DUI's, accidents, and fatalities increase, and with the upcoming holiday weekend if this contract isn't awardedthe potential loss of lives increases significantly.
