- Description
- The Department of Commerce, National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration Eastern Region Acquisition Division intends to issue a Request of Quotations (RFQ) for a firm, fixed price purchase order or orders for dockside repairs to NOAA Ship Pisces in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13. The RFQ will be issued on or about July 1, 2009 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The RFQ number will be EA133M-09-RQ-0818; hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. This RFQ will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 336611, and the corresponding small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The performance period will be 14 days with a start date on or about August 3, 2009 and ending on or about August 17, 2009; performance will occur at the ship's homeport at the NOAA/Gulf Marine Support Facility, in Pascagoula, MS. The scope of work includes the following base item Itinerant Longline Winch installation and associated longlining equipment. All work shall be performed in accordance with the detailed specifications. Quotes will be due on or about July 22, 2009, and must be submitted electronically to Robin Resweber by fax at 757-664-3642 or by e-mail to Robin.Resweber@NOAA.gov. Prospective vendors who are interested in submitting a quote for this acquisition are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service and to be on the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FedBizOpps where this synopsis is posted). Vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and obtain (and provide with a quote) A DUNs number. Note: All responsible small businesses may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency.
