- RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W9127S09R0019. RECOVERYThis proposed procurement will be unrestricted. Date of issue will be on or about July 15, 2009, on www.fbo.gov. Request for Proposals will be due or about August 14, 2009. Magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000. The work includes rehabilitation and painting of eight (8) tainter gates and incidental related work includes rehab and paint of 8 tainter gates, includes select bracing member replacements, pre-blast/clean and replace select deteriorated welded connections, select stiffener plate replacements, skin plate repairs, miscellaneous weld repairs, side seal assembly replacements, and anode replacements. Also include some or all of the following items: Rehabilitation and painting of eight (8) additional gates. Disassembly and reassembly of tainter gate hoisting cable hitch block assemblies, requiring design and installation of temporary gate supports, removal of hitch block pins, inspection and cleaning of all components, coal tar painting, greasing, and replacement of o-ring seals. Blast and paint walkway bridge bearings. Repair base plate grout and replace 2 missing bolts. Blast and paint all machinery platform framing, atop and under checkered plate at machinery platforms, atop checkered plate walkway concrete joint covers, and including tainter gate hoist machinery drive shaft/pillow block angle frame bearing supports between concrete piers. Tainter gates, walkway bridge bearings, checkered plate, machinery support framing, concrete joint covers and shaft supports require lead-based paint removal and disposal.
