Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate sole source follow-on commercial item procurement with Industrial Service & Installation, Inc. to continue providing San-I-Pak 342 w/slides Preventive Maintenance for routine and emergency repair service in meeting all waste handling equipment requirements in support of veteran patients care at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Durham, NC. The scope of service involves scheduled preventive (non-emergency) maintenance, and emergency maintenance calls including all proprietary parts. A monthly service report to include operating recommendation. The principle duties require all services be performed on-site within a minimum amount of time to not cause any delay of equipment operations which would cause cancellation of scheduled medical procedures. On site repairs and all required installation of hardware or system adjustments for the San-I-Pak system must be performed by experienced Field Service Engineers. Basic responsibilities: 1) shall include a 46 point inspection check. This proposed procurement is for preventative maintenance services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Noon, July 03, 2009, local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
