Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA)DESIRES TO ACQUIRE A SITE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A LEASED OUTPATIENT CLINIC The VA desires to acquire a no-cost, transferable purchase option for a site upon which a leased outpatient clinic may be constructed in Lewiston-Auburn, Maine. VA will also consider acceptance of a donated site. It is VAs intention to have the building constructed by a private-sector entity that will purchase the land and lease to VA for up to 20 years. VA will consider properties in the range of 7 to 9 developable acres. The property must be available for use, and be capable of accommodating a 28,982 net usable square foot clinic building with on-site parking for approximately 145 vehicles. Utilities must be available on-site. To be considered, the site must be within the delineated area as follows: NORTH - State Route 126 (Sabattus Road) proceeding West to Russell Street, proceeding north-west to Veterans Memorial Bridge to the intersection of Mt. Auburn Avenue and Center Street (SR-4) proceeding to: EAST - State Route 4 south to Route US-202 to Route US-202/SR-100 proceeding to: SOUTH The point at which US 202/SR 100 crosses under the Maine Turnpike (I-95) and then following the boundaries of the Maine Turnpike to the East to Goddard Road and then right on Plourde Parkway to the intersection with Apple Road and then east on Apple Road to the intersection with Ferry Road and then north until it crosses under the Maine Turnpike (I-95) and then following the boundaries of the Maine Turnpike until it crosses State Route 9 and then proceeding: WEST- North on State Route 9 (Middle Road) to the intersection with State Route 126 (Sabattus Road) Offerors must provide evidence that offered properties are outside the 100-year flood plain and contain no wetlands. Sites with environmental issues will not be accepted. A market survey of offered properties will be conducted by VA staff.
