- This is a solicitation announcement for the construction of a 1277 car parking structure, and site development of over thirty (30) acres. Please reference Invitation for Bid (IFB) 0370738 in any correspondence regarding this package. The work consists of the following: foundations consisting of spread footings and caissons, structured concrete slab, three (3) elevated post-tensioned slabs and framing, tree and planter pits, vehicle restraint system and associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, excavation for parking structure, site clearing and rough grading for future office building, temporary power for parking structure, entrance, service and utility roadway construction, engineered soils, Bio-retention ponds, underground storm water piping and rip rap, reforestation of graded slopes. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will be soliciting bids utilizing full and open competition. This project is located at the FBI's CJIS complex in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The estimated cost of construction for this package is over $20,000,000.00. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for all Bid Packages. The Bidder awarded the resultant contract shall be subject to passing background investigations on its company, subcontractors, and all individuals assigned to these projects. The contractors wishing to receive Bid documents will be required to submit a refundable Bid deposit of $3,000.00 (certified or cashiers check only) in order to receive the specifications and drawings for the project. The cashiers check must be made payable to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. There is a two (2) set limit for refundable deposits. Any additional sets shall be at an amount of $3,500.00, which includes a $3,000.00 refundable cashiers check and a $500.00 Non-refundable cashiers check. Anyone requesting these documents are required to send in a letter of request and cashiers check with complete company address, telephone number and point of contact to the address below, attention: Bruce J. Lavonis. A pre-bid conference and site investigation has been scheduled for August 4, 2009, at 12:00 noon, local time. Contractors wishing to attend this conference/site investigation shall send their request by facsimile not later than July 31, 2009, with the following information: Company Name, Individual(s) full name, place of birth, date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, state of issuance and provide a point of contact telephone number. Attendance is limited to a maximum of five (5) individuals per firm. Individuals attending shall be U.S. Citizens. If naturalized, must furnish an alien registration number. This information shall be facsimiled to the attention of: FBI, Amy Wamsley, facsimile number (304) 625-3194, telephone number (304) 625-3056. The following schedule for this IFB is tentative: Document Release Date 7/17/09, Conference/Site Investigation Date 8/4/09, Questions Due Date 8/11/09 and Bid Opening Date 8/25/09. No further information on this project is available at this time.
