- This effort is 100% set aside for U.S. Small Business concerns. The U.S. Army JM&L LCMC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ contemplates issuing a solicitation for the procurement of 81mm Lightweight Container. A firm fixed price basic contract effort with one fixed priced options are anticipated. The Army will evaluate proposals received based on Best-Value criteria. The contractor shall design, develop, manufacture, test and evaluate a lightweight single unit packing container/system prototype (including the cushioning support system inside the container) for 81mm mortar ammunition foruse on M819 Smoke, M816 IR Illumination, M853A1 Illumination cartridges aswell as 81mm Insensitive Munitions High Explosive Cartridges. Success during the base contract may result in awarding the Option(s), however, the award of Option(s) for further efforts is not guaranteed. The deadline for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after issuance of the RFP, which is Monday, August 03, 2009, No later than 3:00p.m. Local time. All questions in related to the RFP are to be submitted in Email to wilson.au@us.army.mil. The last date the Government guarantee a response to any question is 10 days prior to the closing of RFP, which is Friday, July 24,2009. There is a technical data package which may be provided to any interested offeror(s) provided a Non-Disclosure Form is signed and a valid DD2345 certification are on file.
