- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED HUBZONE CONTRACTORS. BID OPENING DATE IS AUGUST 18, 2009, 2:00 PM. The estimated value of this procurement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy & Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $33.5 million. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov under the above solicitation number. This project is to provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment to demolish an existing fixed pier and replace it with a new floating pier. The existing pier is 80 foot long, six foot wide, and built with a wooden deck, concrete support piles, and timber fender piles. The new floating pier shall be pre-cast concrete anchored in place by concrete piles. The pier will be approximately 8 foot wide by 80 foot long. Associated work includes a four foot by 30 foot gangway, electrical power for lighting and shore ties, and timber fender piles. Work location is the U.S. Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The performance period is 120 calendar days.
