- Description
- The purpose of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to announce the Government's Intention to extend current contract N00244-05-D-0014 that was competitively awarded to Inchcape Shipping Services. The ordering period will consist of a six (6) month base period with an option for two (2) additional six month periods as required. The extension is required to maintain continuity of service and allow the Government an opportunity for a competitive follow-on award. (See FEDBIZQPPS Note 22). The Contractor shall provide Husbanding Services and other supplies and services as described below. As consideration for the performance and management of these services, the Contractor shall be paid the applicable daily husbanding fee. Performance of the services includes providing for any line item(s) or portions thereof which may be required in accordance with the terms of the contract at the fixed rates or Port Tariffs set out In Section I. The ports that are specifically identified in the contract are as follows: San Francisco, CA; Portland and Astoria, OR; Seattle and Longview, WA; Anchorage, Juneau, Seward, and Sitka, AK. All other commercial ports from California to Alaska, not otherwise priced, will be negotiated and incorporated into the contract as needed. The contract is for the provisioning of husbanding services, not a husbanding agency. The contractor awarded the contract will be a U.S. Navy contractor, not an agent of the U.S. Navy.
