- A prebid meeting will be held on 28 July 2009, at 10:00 AM. The prebid meeting will be held at the Clock Tower Building at Rock Island Arsenal. The meeting is to discuss the Chiller Replacement, Clock Tower Building, Invitation for Bid No. W912EK-09-B-0014, and to provide an opportunity for contractors to visit the site. Offerors are encouraged to attend the prebid meeting. Make arrangements at least 24 hours prior to the meeting with Mr. Tom Johnson. The estimated price range for this project is $500,000 - $1,000,000. The NAICS code is 238220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14 million. THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR THIS PROJECT INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: THIS PROJECT SHALL DEMOLISH AND REPLACE AN EXISTING CHILLED WATER COOLING PLANT TO INCLUDE THE DEMOLITION OF; TWO 75 TON CAPACITY CHILLED WATER BARRELS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE REFRIGERANT COMPRESSORS, ONE FREE STANDING COOLING TOWER, CHILLED WATER AND CONDENSING WATER PUMPS, CHILLED WATER PIPING, ALL CONDENSING WATER PIPING, CHILLER PLANT CONTROLS, ELECTRICAL PANEL, WIRING,ELECTRICAL CONDUIT, AND ANY UNUSED ANCILLARY PIPING OR EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS, STANDS, A COOLING TOWER STRUCTURE, A STORAGE BUILDING & CONCRETE EQUIPMENT PADS. THE CHILLED WATER DISTRIBUTION PIPING ENTERING / LEAVING THE CHILLER PLANT BUILDING SHALL REMAIN AND BE REUSED WITH NEW CHILLED WATER SYSTEM. THIS PROJECT SHALL PROVIDE AND INSTALL; A NEW 200TON CAPACITY SPLIT AIR COOLED WATER CHILLER WITH REMOTE AIR COOLED CONDENSING UNIT, A NEW CONCRETE EQUIPMENT PAD, A CONCRETE FOUNDATION WALL, NEW CHILLED WATER PUMP, CHILLED WATER PIPING,DDC CONTROLS, AND A NEW BUILDING MAIN ELECTRICAL SERVICE PANEL, WIRING, AND CONDUIT. THE STORAGE BUILDING SHALL BE DEMOLISHED WITH CONCRETE FOUNDATION/SLAB TO REMAIN. THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR OPTION A FOR THIS PROJECT INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: FURNISH & INSTALL NEW CHILLED WATER PUMP, CWP-234-1-2, MOTOR AND VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE.
