- Description
- The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business to provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment and qualified supervision required to renovate the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Clinic located within the existing H.H. McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. The project scope includes selective demolition, new construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing system upgrades and air handler replacement. All work shall be performed in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications prepared by HDR, Inc., and completed within 300 days after the Notice to Proceed. This includes final Inspection and cleanup. While no liquidated damages will be assessed, timely completion and effective phasing and sequencing of the work will be critical in order to minimize the impact on existing operations and to successfully complete the project. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $31,000,000. The estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The drawings and specifications will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on/about 5/22/09. A date and time for a pre-bid/walkthrough will be stated in the solicitation. The RFP deadline will be on/about 6/23/09. The deadline for receipt of questions is one week prior to the bid opening. To be qualified to submit a proposal on this project, firms must be classified as SDVOSB-owned firms and registered in the Central Contractor Registry and Vet Biz, prior to award. The Online Representations and Certifications must be completed prior to the RFP deadline.
