- ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to perform the work listed as specified in the Statement of Work. Work includes, but is not limited to: Replace existing 12’ wide by 10’ rough opening overhead garage door with a new electrically operated roll up door, increasing the door opening height by 1’, install dedicated electrical circuit to the door and ensure door installation is weather tight. Paint door to match existing doors in the building. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: NONE Performance Period is 15 - 30 days. Work to be performed Aug 01 – Sep 30, 2009. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide submittals for review & approval for the following items: 1) Rolling Door. 2) Installation details, 3) Means, methods and electrical installation one line diagrams, 4) Door testing procedures, 5) Installer qualifications, 6) Means, methods and details for moving the door heading opening up to install the door, 7) Work schedule and timeline for all major components of the work, 8) Paint, sealant type, system means and methods, 9) Post installation checklist. Manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY JULY 02, 2009. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD JULY 22, 2009, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE IS LESS THAN $35,000.
