- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation documents, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-26. Solicitation number AG-91W8-S-09-0005 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333120 and the size standard is 750 Employees. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued for these Commercial Items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Contractor will provide all labor, supervision, transportation, services and facilities necessary to perform work. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the supply and delivery of the following items; Brand Name or Equal, to the following: One (1) Morbark M12 Brush Chipper; salient characteristics: Standard Equipment - 48 inch wide by 31 inches high infeed chute opening with a 15 inch wide by 12 inch high throat opening and quick shut-off; reversible feed works control; 12-inch chipping capacity dual; 14-1/2 inches wide horizontal; 51 minimum HP; 5,500 lbs. maximum weight; 15-feet 9-inches maximum length; trailer hitch that accepts 2 – 2 ˝ inch ball; preferred color: hunter green. Contractor shall provide one on-site demonstration regarding safe operation and maintenance after product has been purchased and delivered. DELIVERY: Brush Chipper is to be delivered as follows: Lower Trinity Ranger District Office, Highway 96, Willow Creek, CA 95573. A delivery schedule will be agreed upon and delivery will be made by August 17, 2009. Evaluation--Commercial Items is applicable. The Government will award the contract to that responsible vendor whose quotation, conforming to the combined synopsis/solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering price and the price-related factors included in the combined synopsis/solicitation. Factor One - Price of product and delivery. Factor Two - Vendor's availability to perform and deliver product by specified dates. Factor Three – Vendor’s applicable past performance and experience. Price and non price evaluation criteria are equal. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be completed and included with offer. These clauses can be accessed through the website http://www.arnet.gov/far/.
