Description
This is not an RFP, but a survey to locate potential sources capable of performing the proposed services. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has the requirement for transportation and guard services for the Marathon, Dania Beach, and West Palm Beach Border Patrol Stations; KROME Processing Center, Broward Transitional Center, and the Miami International Port of Entry, Miami Seaport Port of Entry, Port Everglades Port of Entry and West Palm Beach Port of Entry areas within the Miami Border Patrol Sector area of operation. The contractor will be required to provide transportation and guard services for foreign nationals (male, female and minors) between the aforementioned Border Patrol Stations, Ports of Entry and the Processing/Transitional Centers. Contractor personnel shall meet the following requirements: 1) Possess a valid and current driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (when applicable) without restrictions; 2) Be bi-lingual (English/Spanish) no exceptions; 3) Law enforcement/detention training and certification; 4) Legal resident of the United States; 5) Complete successful background and/or security investigation with no derogatory references/arrests; 6) Be certified to carry lethal (firearm) and less lethal enforcements tools (pepper spray, baton, etc.); 7) Pass contractor administered pre-employment and random drug screening; 8) Be in good physical condition; 9) Have no serious or long-term medical conditions; and 10) Have basic emergency medical training certification. There will be no deviations from these requirements. Firms capable of meeting these requirements are invited to submit complete information to the procuring office identified in this notice in three (3) copies by July 10, 2009 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time. Information furnished should include past performance experience (scope and nature) related to this requirement and specific information that demonstrates the ability to meet the requirements listed above. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only. The Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. Based upon responses received, the Government reserves the right to set aside any and/or all procurements that may result hereunder for small or minority-owned businesses.
