Description
Request for Information (RFI) ~ Renewable Energy Systems Background Information: U.S. Department of Homeland Security, The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), 1300 Richey Ave. Artesia New Mexico, is seeking information about Renewable Energy Systems (ie. Wind Electric, Solar Electric/Heating Systems and Equipment) available that could be applied to new construction and existing buildings in the Southeastern portion of New Mexico. Information Requested: The primary intent of this RFI is to identify current and future industry standards-based solar/wind power solutions, including Commercial Rooftop Photovoltaic Panels, Charge controller, Batteries (Lead-Acid and Gel Cell), Natural Light Tubular Skylights, Solar Powered Electric Fans, Domestic Water Heating and Inverter, Solar Water Heaters Systems and wind turbines that could be used to reduce electrical and hot water usage. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only. The government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with the preparation or submission of the information requested nor for the government's use of that information. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the government's assessment of the information received. No basis for claims against the government shall arise as a result of response to this request for information, or in the government's use of such information as either part of a FLETC evaluation process or in developing any subsequent policy or announcement. Companies are requested to submit detailed information for as many of the following options as possible. Related Issues: •a. Are there any Major Structural design changes required to be considered? •b. Will the installation allow for easy maintenance? •c. For Pre-existing electrical systems used as back-up, is there any components needed? Vendor's are requested to address the uses identified above, and include: 1. Detailed description of solar system equipments functionality that includes specific requirements necessary for full performance. 2. Reoccurring costs, if any, after initial investment. 3. Identified pros and cons of product(s) recommended. 4. Demonstrated experience in providing workable solar PV Energy Project Solutions. 5. Production Status/Availability.
