- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER GSA SCHEDULE SIN 206-3. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire, MI has a need to purchase solar modules; Supporting Rack System; PV Circuit Combiner Boxes to supply power to South Manitou Island during the visitor season from early May to mid-October. The PV array will be electrically integrated into the existing diesel generators/120 volt battery bank/20kW inverter power system through a charge controller (incorporated in the inverter). The PV array will be installed on the roof of the maintenance building which also houses the existing inverter and battery bank. The roof surface, without penetrations, is 109 feet long, 20 feet wide, and has a pitch of 4/12. This solicitation will be issued electronically, via GSA's e-Buy system. Proposed Issue Date is on or about June 26, 2009. Title of Project: RECOVERY-Solar Power Array. Type of Procurement: A negotiated firm-fixed price delivery order will be awarded based upon the best value offered the Government.
