- Description
- This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 for actions in accordance with FAR 13.5. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items is applicable. Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a firm, fixed-price contract to Siemens Building Technologies, Inc of Baltimore, MD 21244. This is to provide all labor, material and supervision, technical support, Preventive Maintenance, software upgrades and repairs to all panels, consoles, terminal box controllers, sensors, valves and damper actuator on the Siemens Building Technologies Building Automation System located at the Social Security Administration’s Operation Building. The contractor is to also provide all labor, materials, supervision, and engineering to maintain the present Siemens Apogee building energy management system at the National Computer Center and the NCC Utility Building. The NAICS code is 238220. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responses received by July 15, 2009 will be reviewed and evaluated. Contractors capable of providing the required commercial item(s) should submit in writing their capability statement with cost information that provide clear and convincing evidence of their capabilities to meet this requirement to denita.patterson@ssa.gov or fax to (410) 966-9310. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government.
