- Description
- The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and supervision to complete construction work for project PQWY 07-1063, Repair L taxiway and pad on McChord AFB, Washington. Following is a brief summary of the project and is provided solely for the purpose of revealing the general nature of the work involved. This project is for repairing existing concrete and asphalt pavements on an aircraft taxiway and apron. The repairs are: Asphaltic Concrete (AC) pavement crack and joint sealing, AC pavement patching, portland cement concrete pavement (PCCP) spall repairs, joint resealing, crack sealing, and pavement markings. This work will involve the placement of required barriers and the installation of temporary gates for flightline and construction security. This is a firm-fixed price contract. The on-site performance period shall be limited to 60 continuous calendar days. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. Solicitation for this requirement will be accomplished via a Request for Proposal. The solicitation number will be FA4479-09-R-0008. This is an unrestricted solicitation in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15 and the terms in the solicitation. FAR Clause 52.219-4 Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns will be included in the solicitation. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and drawings. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, interested parties must review the website frequently for updates and amendments to any and all documents; and verifying the number of amendments issued prior to the due date for proposals. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained by this office. Interested firms may register on the Interested Vendors List on this web site. All potential offerors must obtain a DUNS number and be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Lack of registration in the CCR database and failure to obtain a DUNS number will make an offeror ineligible for award. NOTICE TO OFFERORS; FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER THIS SOLICITAION UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS SOLICITATION/RFP EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE BID OPENING/RFP CLOSING DATE.
