Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, CECOM Contracting Center - Washington on behalf of the U.S. Army Product Manager Countermine & Explosive Ordnance Disposal (PM CM&EOD) and U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), Communications Electronic Research Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) intends to negotiate with NIITEK, Inc., 43671 Trade Center Place, Sterling, VA 20166 for maintenance services in support of 30 Husky Mounted Detection Systems (HMDS) used in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The maintenance support is not expected to exceed $540,000. It is the intent of this office to award a modification to contract W909MY-08-C-0066 on the basis of other than full and open competition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received by 29 June 2009 will be considered by the Government. Responses shall be no longer than ten (10) pages and shall be in a Microsoft Word compatible format. All responses and requests for further information shall be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer, Michelle Hodges at Michelle.Hodges@us.army.mil. Telephone requests for additional information will not be honored. Acknowledgement of receipt will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
