It contains both the oil pressure and oil scavenge units which are seperated by a center body and driven by a common shaft. The function of the assembly is to supply oil for the lubrication to all engine bearings, gears and accessory drives. The scavenge side of the assembly retrieves oil which has been returned to the gearbox from the bearing compartments and accessory drives then sends it to the engine oil tank.
