- Description
- The 746 Test Squadron (746 TS) is seeking sources for a Fixed-Price contract with options in support of a Non-GPS Based Positioning System Upgrade. The purpose of this effort is to design and install upgraded components to increase the measurement accuracy and range of existing equipment purchased under previous contracts. The Government currently owns 17 Locata Corp units, Part Number LL1000-1, that require enhancement to meet future mission requirements. This effort will consist of various stages to ensure the proposed upgrade/enhancement of the existing system meets the needs of the Air Force. Initial effort will be the design of a feasible solution that will allow the existing units to be upgraded. The next optional stage will be the development and demonstration of a prototype showing that design and performance specifications are achieved. Upon verification of prototype performance, the Government-owned Locata Corp LL1000-1 units will be upgraded, installed and tested to ensure performance in real-world testing environment. The contractor must have the capability to provide the design, testing, manufacturing and installation required at all stages of this effort. All interested sources are encouraged to respond to this synopsis and to identify their qualifications and experience through a Statement of Capability in the area of Non-GPS Based Positioning Systems as described above no later than 9 July 2009. Please limit your Statement of Capability to no more than 10 pages. If emailing your Statement of Capability, please send it in a PDF or MS Word format.
