- Description
- The Government is tentatively planning on issuing a solicitation on or around July 10th, 2009, for a Firm-Fixed-Price Construction contract in Topeka, Kansas. This construction project is for Channel Erosion Repair Construction along Soldier Creek which is a tributary to the Kansas River. The project area begins at the confluence with the Kansas River and extends upstream to Menoken Road about 7.5 miles within the proximity of U.S. Highway 24. The construction consists of earth excavation and earth fill within the channel to repair erosion through channel restoration techniques. Work primarily entails earthwork, riprap, storm drainage outfall replacements, several rock check dams, minor demolition and re-vegetation of the channel slopes and benches. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. This will be a 100% HUB-Zone set aside. The estimated duration of the project is 365 days after receiving the notice to proceed. Solicitation packets will be made available through the ASFI website at https://acquisition.army.mil/ and the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled with the time and location stated in the solicitation packet. Please note that to be eligible for award, you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/.
