Description
RECOVERY—THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity is available only to the National Plastering Industries’ Joint Apprenticeship Trust Fund (NPIJATF) under contract number DOLJ089626805. This notice is not a notice for the solicitation of offers. The requirement is for revision of the NPIJATF programs provided at Job Corps centers to include green training as follows: 1. Production of a pre-determined number of green graduates by June 30, 2010 targeting at employment with registered apprenticeship programs or other construction firms through NPIJATF’s nationwide connections to unions and other employers in the construction industry. 2. Development and implementation of green Training Achievement Records (TARs) for the two specialty areas that NPIJATF is contracted to teach: Cement Masonry and Plastering. The green TARs include a new “Green Awareness” module, new green theory and practices, and highlighting existing TAR line items that are already green in nature. All the green elements must be based on applicable green skills and/or training standards sponsored by nationally-recognized industry or labor accreditation entities. 3. Establishment of two advanced programs (one Cement Masonry and one Plastering) in the Atlanta Region. 4. Provision of new instructional materials, equipment, tools, and consumable supplies in support of the above-referenced green TARs. 5. Instructor training for green technology instruction and their attainment of relevant green certifications. 6. Any potential and additional funding area for NPIJATF in support of green to be agreed to by NPIJATF and the U.S. Department of Labor.
