- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote solicitation number is M00681-09-T-0101. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32 and DCN 2009015. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 451140. The FSC code is 3931 The Regional Contracting Office, Southwest Camp Pendleton CA 92055 has a requirement to provide musical instruments. The requested instruments are; (a.) Concert Oboe- Make: Loree Paris; Model: Professional Oboe- The oboe has to be made of Grenadilla wood and have a full conservatory key system that is silver plated. The bore should be slightly more conical making it narrower at the top and wider at the bottom resulting with a darker more focused, and less "edgy" sound. (b.) Piccolo Trumpet-Make: Stomvi; Model: Elite 5710 - This trumpet should come with a #19 mouth pipe and a #18 bell, it should be made of yellow brass and have a bell diameter of 100mm. It must be silver plated and have Monel valves. (c.) Euphonium-Make: Wilson; Model: 2950S - This euphonium should have an upright bell with a diameter of 12.25". It should have 4 stainless steel pistons (3 on top and 1 on the side). Its bore measurements should be as follows: valve bore.591", 4th valve.670", compensating side.632". (d.) Guitar Amplifier- Make: Fender; Model: 65 Twin Reverb - This should be an 85 watt amplifier with two 12" Jensen C-12K speakers, dual channels (normal & vibrato), reverb, vibrato, two-button reverb and vibrato on-off footswitch, tilt back legs, black textured vinyl covering and a silver grille cloth. It should come with a tube complement of: four 6L6 Groove Tube output tubes, four 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 12AT7 preamp tubes. (e.) Tuba- Make: Miraphone; Model: 191-5U - This tuba should have a.835" bore and have an 18-1/2" upright bell. It must be 36" in height and its size is 4/4. It must be gold brass with nickel silver slides. This 4/4 BBb Tuba should have a.830" large bore, and 5 rotary valves. It should be 36" tall, gold brass with a clear laquer finish. (f.) Sousaphone- Make: Dynasty; Model: M890LW - This 4/4, 4 valve sousaphone needs to comes with a 26" (650mm bell), a.730" (18.5mm bore) and should have a height of 56 1/2", a width of 32" and a weight of 30lbs (13.65kg). It must come with a 25 mouthpiece and be finished in lacquer as well. A heavy duty hard shell case is needed to properly transport and care for this instrument. (g.) Piccolo- Make: Burkhart Phelan; Model: Global-W - This instrument needs to have a Grenadilla wood hand cut head joint/body, silver plated keys, split E mechanism, white gold springs, Burkhart scale, and wave head joint. All the requested items are a quantity of 1. Evaluation - The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations: specifications of items, price, and completion time. These evaluation factors are not weighted. Quotations will be evaluated in an efficient and minimally burdensome fashion, and quotes may be comparatively evaluated pursuant to FAR 13.106-2(b).Required Information: (a) Price Quotes: The price quote may be provided in the schedule or by separate correspondence; (b) Technical Capability; (c) Delivery time; (d) Vendor Information: The vendor information includes DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax I.D. number, email address; and business size; (e) Representations and Certifications: The contractor is required to complete clauses FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000 and a return a copy with their quotation.
