- NSN 3040-01-123-6097, Part Number 3269426, The item to procure is a CONNECTING LINK, RIG (NSN: 3040-01-123-6097) F/MK 19 GMG. MAT'L: STEEL 4340, 4140, 8640, 4142 PER ASTM A322 OR A331. ALT MAT'L: PRECISION CASTINGS; COMP IC4340, IC8640. THIS PART REQUIRES HEAT TREAT, AUSTENITIZE, QUENCH, AND TEMPER TO A HARDNESS OF 42 TO 46 ROCKWELL C, MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION AND PHOSPHATE FINISH APPLIED. THE PART IS APPROXIMATE 16 INCHES LONG. Requirements: This is a firm fixed five year IDIQ with a Guaranteed Minimum Quantity 3,500 each. Maximum Contract Quantity 25,000 each, Connecting Link, Rig. FOB is Destination. For use on the Launcher, Grenade 40mm. Estimated issue date is 10 JUL 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capacity to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This is a 100% HUBZone set-aside.
