Description
The subject add-on requirement is for the acquisition of 9 NSNs that are transportation equipment items with various item descriptions and end items. The solicitation is unrestricted with other than full and open competition and is being issued pursuant to the authority of 10 USC 2304 ( c ) ( 1 ) and contemplates the award of a contract for items of supply that are available from only one responsible source. Currently GDLS-Canada (56161) is the only known responsible source. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, delivery, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. FOB destination is required and inspection/acceptance is at origin. The long term contract supports requirements for stock replenishment only. The material groups for the add-on project are: 2510, 5310, 5330, 5340, and 6680. The items will be added onto existing corporate long term contract, SPM7LX-08-D-7028 for the remaining time left on the basic contract. Option period one was exercised in April 2009, which means that the remaining time left on the long term contract is a little less than four years. The final expiration of the long term contract is April 2013. The small business size standard is 750. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available and there are no drawings available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive, technical data, therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 USC 2304 ( c ) (1). See numbered notes 22 and 26. The solicitation is based on an estimated total dollar amount of $620,000.
