- Description
- RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the installation of two new instantaneous hot water generators at the Grand Island Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. Work includes but is not limited to General Construction, Site work, Metals, Wood and Plastic, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Finishes, Specialties, Equipment, Mechanical, and Electrical work, and necessary removal of existing structures. All work shall be performed in accordance with specifications and drawings for Replace/Upgrade Domestic Hot Water Heaters project number R636-09-121 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Grand Island VAMC, 2201 North Broadwell, Grand Island, NE., and all applicable codes and standards. The project will consist of removal of two old hot water tanks and associated piping and the installation of two hot water generators with associated piping including steam piping, pumps, and electrical set up. Solicitation Number VA-263-09-RA-0284 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about July 10, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held during the week of July 20th - July 24th, 2009 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on August 18, 2009 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
