- RECOVERY ACT - THIS NOTICE IS PROVDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (VAMC) has issued a contract for professional design services from Howard Kulp Architects, PC, to develop working drawings and specifications for project involving renovation of its dental lab located in the PVAMC facility located at 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The contractor will be required to develop construction contract drawings and specifications for renovation work to include demolition, door relocation, new architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work (including demolition and renovation of existing systems) to accommodate new architectural layout and casework, as well as HVAC work including a new exhaust hood system with fans, diffusers and replacement of two existing 4,000 CFM AHUs with one consolidated unit in the existing penthouse. The services of a structural engineer will be required to address structural issues posed by the proposed renovation. The dental lab is contained in one room of approximately 600 square feet. This procurement was limited to small businesses in NAICS code 541310 and the small business size standard is $4.5 million.
