- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR The Replace and Upgrade Fire Alarm System Bldg 111 and 123 at the Clement J. Zablocki VAMC, Milwaukee, WI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certificates, insurance, temporary protection, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract to Replace and Upgrade the Fire Alarm System in Bldg. 111 and 123 as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disable-Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on/about July 10, 2009 with the bid opening on/about August 13, 2009. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $2,000,000 - $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238210; size standard $14.0 Million applies. Time for completion is 395 days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
