- Description
- The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) buys petroleum products that are used in support of military operations worldwide. DESC will be soliciting proposals for services to provide sampling and/or laboratory testing of government-owned petroleum products and to report the information gathered as a result of those services to DESC. Services to be provided at Augusta Bay, Sigonella, Sicily-Italy are as follows: a. Laboratory Testing of Aviation Turbine Fuel, Grade JP-5 (Specification: MIL-DTL-5624U). b. Laboratory Testing of Naval Distillate Fuel F76 (Specification: MIL-DTL-16884L). c. Laboratory Testing of Sulfide in Tank Bottom Water. d. Transportation of Samples. When testing services are offered which are not within commuting distance of the laboratory, the contractor’s price shall include the cost of transportation of samples to the laboratory. e. Vessel and Tank Sampling of Aviation Turbine Fuel JP-5 and Naval Distillate Fuel F76. Testing of U.S. Government-owned fuel products is required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week (including holidays). Estimated performance period is one-year with 4 one-year options. This procurement will be unrestricted. The solicitation will be published electronically on both the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website http://www.fbo.gov and DESC’s website at http://www.desc.dla.mil.
