- This acquisition is proceeding as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Request for Proposal (RFP). Estimated Cost Range is between $ 10,000,000 and $ 25,000,000 Period of Performance for Design and Construction: Not to Exceed 730 Days This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Y139, SIC CODE: 1542, NAICS Code: 236220. The size standard for this code is $33,500,000. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Military Construction CECT-SPK, 1325 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814-2922 This RECOVERY Design-Build Child Development Center project provides for a single story (35,697 SF), concrete slab, steel frame, masonry exterior walls, and standing seam metal roof. Project includes multi-purpose rooms, isolation rooms, storage rooms, kitchen area and equipment, administrative space, playground area and equipment, fire protection, and utilities. Also includes emergency detection/ annunciation system and CCTV system. Comply with DoD force protection requirements per Unified Facilities Criteria. This project also includes demolition of 6 buildings (total 35,731 SF). The Contractor shall develop and complete the design and construct the facility. Sustainable design (LEEDS) is required for this project. The Design-Build (D-B) Contractor will be required to perform a geotechnical investigation yielding a geotechnical report that shall be used as a basis for design. Likewise, the D-B Contractor will be required to perform a topographical survey; also a basis for design. Following award, the contract will proceed as follows: This project will follow a Fast Track process. The D-B Contractor will have discretion as to when submittals will be made and the content of the submittals --- within the guidelines of the RFP. All design review comments for the work and applicable construction techniques for unusual construction conditions must be appropriately addressed and direction received from Contracting Officer prior to the start of construction activities. This project will follow completing design before construction begins process. The RFP is anticipated to be posted on or about 10 June, 2009. Proposals are due on or about 16 July 2009, 3:00 pm (PDT). A SITE VISIT/PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE IS On/Or About 18 June 2009 @ 0900 Hours (PDT), Bldg 366, Hill AFB, Utah. All PROPOSALS will be due on/about 16 July 2009/3:00 pm PST. The specific date and time will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS.
