- This acquisition is proceeding as a firm fixed price UNRESTRICTED FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION Invitation for Bids (IFB). Estimated Cost Range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 Period of Performance for Construction: Complete construction without exercise of option 1: 155 calendar days. Complete construction with exercise of option 1: 503 calendar days. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Y222, SIC CODE: 1629, NAICS Code: 237310. Job Descriptions: The primary objective of the Guadalupe River project is to provide 100-year flood protection to the areas of San Jose adjacent to the river. The basic object of this project is to: a. Construct a two-track railroad bridge and associated approaches. b. Construct a vehicular bridge. c. Construct a pedestrian under crossing. d. Construct a maintenance road. The work is needed to provide hydraulic capacity not provided by the previous bridges and to provide the required recreational features of the project. It is anticipated that the Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued on or about May 20, 2009, for downloading at the Government's website at FedBizOpps www.fbo.gov. No paper copies will be issued. The specific date and time will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. Ordering Solicitation: Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in hard paper copy or CD-ROM format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) once the IFB is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from FedBizOpps will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov ). If you are a first-time FedBizOpps user, you will also be required to register in FedBizOpps before accessing the IFB documents.
