Description

Arnold Engineering and Development Center (AEDC), Arnold AFB, TN, has a requirement for a five year requirments contract to proved for the analysis of an existing impeller, design and manufacture of a mold, and manufacture of impellers. The impellers are for Peerless Model number 24A-32 pumps, 25,000 GPM. The existing impeller is approximately 32 inches in diameter, 21 inches in length, and made of bronze. Typical pump operating point is 25,000 gpm at 225 feet of head (discharge head 250 feet, suction head 25 feet). Brake horsepower (BPH) at this point is about 1650 hp. The drive motor is 1750 hp/900 rpm. The pump is a double suction split case type. Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on or about 10 July 2009. Request for Proposals will only be available electronically at the FBO website. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please register as a source to be notified of RFP Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information.
