Description
Solicitation W81XWH-09-R-0023 will be issued ON OR ABOUT 7 JULY 2009 and proposals will be due on or about 10 August 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments ON OR ABOUT 7 JULY 2009 at www.usamraa.army.mil, click on Solicitations. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. CCR registration can be accomplished at the following website: www.ccr.gov or by calling (888)227-2423. This procurement is full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541990. Scope of Work: Conducts requirements analysis, market research, acquisition, and integration the following components: Medic wearable computer with voice interface capable of: Running the Lockheed Martin (LM) SLICE Medic module being developed under a CRADA between LM and the US Army Institute of Surgical Research. Additional capabilities will be in solicitation. Vendor must partner or acquire all hardware and software required to demonstrate this technology within 6 months from date of award. Demonstration will be under simulated battlefield conditions and must show a fully integrated capability. Proposals will be evaluated on a tradeoff (best value) basis and any resulting contract will be a definitive cost-type contract to include a base year and up to four option periods.
