Description
Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, licenses, supervision, etc. necessary to 'Repair Elevator Building 2 Morgue ', Project VARA63009408-02, at the VA Medical Center - Brooklyn Campus, Brooklyn, New York, in accordance with provided drawings and specifications. Work includes but not limited to Removal, Furnish, and Install new controller and drive, selector, wire way duct, conductors, traveling cables, new hoist machine, hoist ropes, normal and final terminal stopping devices, car operating devices, limit switches, car leveling devices, emergency stop switches, hall position indicators, operating panels, position indicator, hall push buttons, hoist way doors, car doors, car door operator, top of car operating station, new elevator cab, new elevator car phone and pit switch, disconnect switches etc. This construction project is Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The project cost range is between $250,000 - $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238290; size standard $14.0 M applies.The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. The solicitation package and drawings should be available for download on or about June 22, 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation or drawings will be provided; and telephone requests or questions will NOT be accepted. A mandatory site visit will be scheduled and required for any responsible sources to submit a bid which shall be considered by DVA. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds. Bids are due July 22, 2009, 2pm local time, at the VAMC, Engineering Conference Room, G33, Brooklyn, New York 11209.
