- THIS IS NOT AN AMENDMENT TO THE SOLICITATION. THIS MODIFICATION TO THE PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS A SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING THE PRE-PROPOSAL INSPECTION OF THE VESSEL: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect one (1) ship that is highly similar to the ships on which the equipment shall be installed and to satisfy themselves regarding all conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the equipment constitute grounds for any claim. Offerors are invited to inspect the NOAA Ship OSCAR DYSON at Dutch Harbor, AK June 29 and June 30, 2009. Offerors must notify Contracting Officer Will Havens at william.e.havens@noaa.gov no later than Close of Business June 26, 2009 in order to gain access to the vessel on the dates listed for inspection. Include in the e-mail the following information for each attendee: • Name of Company the individual represents, • Full legal name of visitor as it appears on Driver's License, • Date of birth, • Place of birth, • Citizenship. No Offerors/contractors will be permitted to visit the ship without an appointment. Please note that the Statement of Work and drawings for the EDI Replacement will be furnished with the RFP on or about June 26, 2009. (END OF SPECIAL NOTICE)
