- Description
- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award two contract modifications to contract number N00019-04-D-0131 for the T-39 Contractor Logistic Support (CLS), which consists of contract services and aircraft modification efforts. The first modification will be issued to exercise the option to extend services for a period not to exceed six months, inclusive of any options. The second modification will include an extension that will be negotiated and awarded, for a period that will be determined at the discretion of the Navy, until the current T-39 CLS contract can be recompeted under a full and open competition. The T-39 CLS contract provides support non-personal services that include aircraft maintenance and logistics support of T-39N and T-39G aircraft, including the radar systems; repair and overhaul of airframe and aircraft subsystems including engines; maintenance/repair and logistics support of mission support equipment and peculiar support equipment and spares; and providing records maintenance and reporting for aircraft and associated systems. This contract supports PMA 273 and the CNATRA T-39 UMFO training program at NAS Pensacola. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC of Madison, MS, under the authority of FAR 6.302 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements). This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. This synopsis is provided for information purposes only.
