- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the acquisition of serial conversion device (SCD)hardware and parts as follows: 1. Rack-Mt 2U Chassis Blk includes: #PBSPR 05P4 - 5 Slot Backplane # MSI DCDR33-B - IDE DVD-Read/CD-RW Drive; 10 each 2. Rack-Mt 4U 14-Slot Chassis Blk includes: #MSI DCDR33-B IDE DVD-Read/CD-RW Drive; 75 each3. 3.4GHZ Pentium 4 SBC, (No O.S., No RAM) PICMG 1.0 Single-Board Computer with 3.4GHz Pentium 4 CPU + VGA + LAN + SATA + USB + and Audio; 85 each 4. 512MB DDR2 240-Pin DIMM 512MB DDR2 800MHz SDRAM Memory Module + 240-Pin Upgrade; 170 each 5. 320GB 3.5" SATA HDD, 7200 rpm 320GB 3.5" SATA 3Gb/s Hard Drive + 7200 rpm + Internal; 170 each 6. 400W ATX12V Power Supply, RoHS (upgrade) 400W ATX Power Supply with PFC + 90-264VAC Input + PS/2-size; 85 each7. IDE 3.5" Floppy Drive, Black 1.44MB 3.5" Floppy Disk Drive + Internal + Black; 85 each8. 20" Rack Slide Set Rack Slide Set for RNAA + RNC + and RNT Rack-Mount Chassis + 20"; 85 each9. Rk-Mt Keyboard, Touchpad, Blk 1U Rack-Mount Keyboard with Touchpad and PS/2 Connector + Black with PC system; 30 eachNASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Cyber Research, Inc. pursuant to FAR 13.106,for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available fromonly one source. These devices are required to be compatible with the existing rack sizespecifications currently in place. Sustaining Engineering for the serial conversiondevices require a common pool of hardware so that sparing and repair processes areexactly defined and hardware and labor resources are minimized. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. EasternStandard Time on the date specified above. Such capabilities/qualifications will beevaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
