This is a notice of the Governments intent to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract to Philips Medical Systems N.A. The requirement is for maintenance and software enhancements of the Philips Medical Systems Ultrasound System (ECN 020703) and associated equipment located in the Department of Radiology, Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Fort Bragg, NC 28310. Service Agreement includes, but is not limited to Accidental Transducer Damage Protection, priority scheduling for service calls and access to spare parts inventory, all labor and travel during standard hours of coverage, all parts (including transducers) that fail during normal use, Equipment planned Maintenance Inspection, Proprietary operating system software enhancements, Uplink Remote Diagnostics, Unlimited Technical Services Telephone Support, Biomedical Engineer (BMET) Training, On-Board system diagnostics. The period of performance for this requirement is a Base Period (July 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009) and 4 one-year option periods (October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2013). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be received by June 16, 2009, 4:00 PM EST.
