- ARCATA ASSOCIATES, INC. has a requirement for a total of 14 specialized computersystems in accordance with the attached RT3D OTW Minimum System, Graphics and VendorSpecifications. The additional 13 systems will be bought as long as government fundingis available. All specifications listed are to be met or exceed with no substitutions.This acquisition requires a TRY / BUY Option with Stipulations. 1.30 day trial period for RT3D / OTW software port.2.Purchase is based on successful port of software to try/buy hardware platform.3.No restocking fee or charge for returned system before 30 day trial periodexpires.4.Hardware will be shipped 2 or 3 day air freight so system evaluation can start assoon as possibleThis one system is to be per the Try / Buy Option with Stipulations as outlined above: Total acquisition will be for 14 systems with the condition that the one system is forevaluation to pass. One system is submitted for evaluation and once passed then vendoris to ship the additional 13 systems, and will be bought as long as government funding isavailable. This one unit is to be provided at no charge, and with no inbound shippingcharges. If unit fails prior to the 30 trial period no restocking fee or charge forreturned system. Trial period shall commence with the receiving of first system.System Warranty: 3 year warranty with free technical support.In addition, system andmotherboard can be repaired or replaced by manufacture for 2 years after warranty expires(i.e. on time and material charges after the 3 year warranty).The attached Performance Matrix is to be completed and submitted with vendors proposal.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation items. This announcement constitutes theonly solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writingDFRC-DL-ARCATA-PROCUREMENT@MAIL.NASA.GOV no later than June 18, 2009. (Prospectivequoters shall notify this office of their intent to submit a quotation). It is thequoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, theon-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
