Description
***ESTIMATED ISSUE Date Electronically in FedBizOpps is June 29, 2009 **** Work comprises of trail construction including clearing and grubbing, excavation, switchbacks, rock retaining walls, rock stream fords, turnpikes, log barriers and installation of 12” to 18” ADS pipes. The project is located on the Middle Fork Ranger District. The following specifications, with modifications, will apply: Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Trails (EM-7720-103). The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the work. The project can be reached by traveling approximately 35 miles southeast of Eugene, OR. via Federal Highway I5, and State Highway 58 to the Middle Fork Ranger Station. Turn left at the Ranger Station, proceed approximately ½ mile to the bridge over the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. Turn left after the bridge and travel approximately 2 miles to West Fir. From West Fir travel approximately 20 miles on Forest Service Road No. 19 (double lane paved) to the junction of Forest Service Road No. 1939 (gravel single lane road). Turn left on Road 1939, traveling approximately 0.5 mile, turn left on Road No. 1939-760 (low maintenance road). Travel approximately 0.7 mile to beginning of trail construction, station 0+00. This proposed procurement listed herein is a Total SBA-Certified HUB Zone Set Aside in accordance with the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Act of 1997. The estimated magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.
