- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)-Iowa City, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Architecture/Engineering services, "A/E Security System Upgrades II" at the VAMC in Iowa City, IA. NAICS Code 541310, size standard $4.5 million. The scope of work for this project shall include but not be limited to the design services to add additional doors and cameras to the existing Lenel card access system in Building's 1, 20, 21, 40 and 41. Areas included will be exterior doors, IT storage and switch closets, panel rooms and other designated doors. Project may also include card access and/or cameras in the various outpatient clinics in Waterloo, Dubuque, Galesburg, Coralville, Dubuque, Ottumwa, Quincy and others. Firm selected will provide contract documents with architectural and electrical to match footprint provided. Existing architectural and electrical components and Lenel system capacity will require evaluation for replacement and/or size changes. A/E contract will include design (with reviews), reproduction of bid documents, construction period services, final inspections and as-built drawings. Estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 to $500,000. Area of consideration: Firms must be within 125 miles radius, of the VAMC-Iowa City, IA. Please, submit your qualifications and past performance data on SF 330 (architecture-engineer qualifications); and for any consultants, to be used, on SF 330 sections E and F.
