- THIS IS A RE-ADVERTISED AMENDED ANNOUNCEMENT. WANTED TO LEASE Seeking expressions of interest Office Space TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT The United States Government desires to lease, seeking expressions of interest, for approximately 27,785 rentable square feet of Office space within the following boundaries: West: Canal Street East: Dearborn Street North: Lake Street, South: Van Buren Street Within the City of Chicago, Illinois The office space must be first-class office space in an existing or newly constructed office building. The space must yield a minimum of 23,010 to a maximum of 24,161 occupiable square feet for the agency’s personnel and equipment. The space must be fully serviced and altered to meet the Federal Government's standards for Fire Safety and Handicapped Accessibility. The space must be contiguous, on one floor. Occupancy is desired by the Second quarter 2010 for a lease term of Fifteen years, Ten years firm. The General Services Administration is not using tenant brokers to represent the Government in lease negotiations or transactions at this time. Brokers or agents may represent the prospective landlord but any properties or proposals submitted by brokers/agents must be accompanied by written evidence they are authorized to represent the building's ownership.
