- FOR THIS PROCUREMENT, IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT COMPETITION WILL BE LIMITED TO, 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SBA LOUISIANA DISTRICT OFFICE, WHICH HAVE THE NAICS CODE 237990 AMONG THOSE APPROVED FOR 8(a) PARTICIPATION. ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OFFERS. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing approximately 7084 linear feet of stonefill revetment, 6 stonefill dikes and bankheads on the Red River in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of work include mobilization and demobilization, stonefill revetment, bankheads and stonefill dikes, erosion control, and environmental protection. The value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check often for changes (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about 12 JUNE 2009. Bid opening date on or about 14 JULY 2009. This procurement is restricted to certified 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVICED BY THE SBA LOUISIANA DISTRICT OFFICE.
