- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary Canaan, located in Waymart Pennsylvania, intends to issue solicitation RFQ21504020-9 for a contractor to remove the existing two-thousand (2,000) gallon diesel storage tank with an eight-thousand (8,000) gallon diesel storage tank. The Contracting Officer intends to award a firm-fixed price contract. The successful contractor shall be required to disconnect the existing piping and electrical conduits from the existing two-thousand gallon tank and remove the tank from the premises. The contractor shall set a new eight-thousand gallon capacity, double wall tank in place. The contractor will be responsible for executing all required permits/forms for the State of Pennsylvania and PA DEP for the removal and installation of the fuel storage tanks. There will be a site visit for this service to familiarize contractors with the requirement. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be available on or about June 16, 2009 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registeredin the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The NAICS is 237120 and the size standard is $13,500,000.00. This solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside. Faith Based and Community- Based Organizations can submit offers/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The due date for receipt of quotes will be on or about July 15, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. local time, at FCI Otisville, NY.
