- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure on a sole source basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), with Dhillon, Jogindar, North Potomac, Maryland, National Voluntary Conformity Assessment Systems Evaluation Program (NVCASE) and Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Telecommunications Mutual Recognition Agreement (APEC TEL MRA) to provide NVCASE and APEC TEL MRA specialized technical services. NVCASE is a U.S. Government program administered by NIST, an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce. NVCASE is a voluntary system that provides a mechanism to evaluate and recognize organizations which support conformity assessment activities related to laboratory testing, product certification, and quality system registration. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider other responses received by the deadline. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
