- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the delivery of one "Trail King TK20LP" or equal industrial flatbed trailer. The trailer must meet the following salient characteristics:1. Payload Capacity: 20,000-lbs2. Deck Length: 22-feet long3. Deck Width: Minimum of 102" 4. Loading Deck Height: Maximum of 33 1/4" high5. Construction: The mainframe will be a one-piece I-beam, not to be spliced. The 4" I-beam crossmembers will be on 16" centers. The deck shall have under-ride protection.6. Decking Material: Minimum of 1 " oak decking7. Headboards: 4" headboard8. Tie Downs: Minimum of 6-6" D rings per side9. Suspension: Rated for the full payload of the trailer10. Axles: Two 10,000-lbs heavy duty11. Axle Hubs: Shall have oil seals and the bearings will run in oil.12. Tires: 235/85R x 16, 16 ply, radial tires13. Wheels: Disc wheels with 8-hole pilot mount, dual rims14. Brakes: Anti-lock brake system on the trailer. Each wheel will have 12 1/4" x 7" air brakes system with automatic slack adjuster.15. Mud Flaps: The trailer will have mud flaps16. Electrical Wiring System: The trailer shall have LED lights and they will be rubber mounted, be a sealed electrical system and meet DOT regulations.17. Hitch Type: Adjustable 4- bolt Pintle hitch, minimum of 62" from the headboard18. Safety Chains: Two safety chains with safety hooks of the size for the trailer weight and shall not be welded to the trailer19. Tongue Stand: 12,000-lbs Heavy Duty drop-leg jack with locking toolbox20. Paint: DOT red and white conspicuity markings Reclamation will issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) per FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures on or around June 16, 2009. Quotes will be due by June 24, 2009. The RFQ will be issued as a small business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 336212. The applicable size standard is 500 employees. The RFQ will be available for viewing through electronic commerce. RFQ Number 09SQ600198 will be issued via https://www.fbo.gov at the link provided in this notice. Interested vendors may also check Reclamation's website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. After June 16, 2009, this RFQ, any subsequent amendments and/or notices will be available to vendors on these websites. Hard copies of the RFQ will be available upon request. Vendors are reminded they must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a contract. Registration can be completed by going to www.ccr.gov. The vendor's Duns & Bradstreet number and banking information are needed for registration. All responsible sources who submit a timely quote shall be considered.
