- The Naval Air Systems Command Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIRWARCENWPNSDIV) intends to procure and award, on an other than full and open basis, a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract with Kaman Aerospace Corporation, Kaman Precision Products for Void Sensing Fuzes. Kaman is the only company that builds the Void Sensing Fuzes that support the initiation and control of a tandem warhead that can be integrated into a cruise missile system. This is the fuze required to be integrated into the Joint Effects Multiple Warhead System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firms believing they can fulfill the requirement of providing the void sensing fuze may submit a written response. This response shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N68936-09-R-0071 and clearly show the firm's capability, background, experience and assets necessary to provide the required products mentioned above without compromising the quality, reliability and delivery of the products. Written responses shall be submitted by email to tara.vasquez@navy.mil or mailed to Commander, Code 21000D, NAVAIRWARCENWPNSDIV, 429 E. Bowen Rd. Mail Stop 4015, China Lake, CA 93555-6108 within 15 days from the notice date. The solicitation will be posted on or about 06/29/2009. The solicitation will close on or about 7/29/2009. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central contract Registration (CCR) database at the following website: www.ccr.gov. Award is anticipated on about 9/15/2009. See numbered note 22.
